BD Batteries AGM Venting and Conduits, Avoid Gassing Battery Problems by Planning for Them
All batteries undergo the process of electrolosis, some are better at keeping the explosive gasses internalized than others, but under the right cirucumstances, all batteries will out gas. To keep your battery from ever jeapordizing the things around it, NEC Codes require that all battery boxes, in homes, businesses, or vehicles, be vented out doors.

** Gel Batteries are not designed to outgas, except under adverse conditions. Gassing of gel batteries leads to voids, or pockets of air in the gelled electrolyte.
***AGM Batteries outgas at the lowest rate of any battery due to their recombinant nature, they are designed to catch these gases and recombine them into electrolyte.
